John P. Dickson is a trusted McHenry County lawyer, providing high-quality legal services to individuals and small businesses. He believes that personal attention, good outcomes, and value are the only ways to build lasting relationships with his clients.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago Law School, John brings an intellectual vigor and innovative philosophy to the practice of law that sets him apart from other lawyers.
John has experience in handling all types of legal issues from multi-million dollar real estate transactions, complex business litigation, and high-dollar personal injury cases to minor traffic violations and small claims.
John began his career as a litigator in Chicago where he handled a large volume of toxic tort cases, fighting for individuals who suffered catastrophic injuries at the hands of multinational corporations.
In 2012 John and his wife moved to McHenry County looking for a good community to raise a family. John began working as an associate attorney in one of the county’s busiest law firms where he handled a wide variety of cases and regularly appeared in court in McHenry, Kane, Lake, Cook, Boone, and Winnebago counties.
He is also licensed to practice law in the courts of the State of Wisconsin which expands his ability to represent local clients with interests across the border.
John lives with his wife, Jana, and their sons, Jack and Luke, in Bull Valley. John is actively involved in a number of community and civic organizations including the Notre Dame Alumni Association of McHenry County and the Berkshire Ballet Theatre. The Dicksons are also active parishioners at St. Thomas the Apostle.
